چکیده

1. Introduction Thermodynamic analysis [1,2] of the most significant experimental data on the hydrogen sorption by graphites and related novel carbon-based nanomaterials at room temperatures and technological pressures (fullerenes, single-and multi-wall nanotubes, nanofibers, nanostructured graphites) is performed. The thermodynamic and kinetic (diffusion) characteristics of sorption processes are refined and compared with the theoretical quantities, for optimizing and a better understanding of the interaction between hydrogen and carbon materials. The attention is concentrated on the unique Rodriguez-Baker studies [3] of graphite nanofibers (charged at hydrogen pressure of 11 MPa), where a super hydrogen adsorption capacity (H/C ≈ 6-8) has been found.

Separation of Carbon Dioxide from Natural Gas by Matrimid-Based Mixed Matrix Membranes

Spherical MgO nanoparticles and Flake-like clay minerals modified with polyaniline (PAni) are applied in Matrimid in order to fabricate mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) having improved gas separation performance. The CO2 permeability, CO2/CH4 selectivity and CO2-induced plasticization pressure of MMMs are assessed at 4-30 bar feed pressure. The chemical structure, morphology and thermal properties...

Modeling and Comparison of Optimized Isotherm Models for H2, N2, CO, CH4 and CO2 Adsorption Using Cuckoo Search Optimization Algorithm

In this study, modeling of hydrogen, nitrogen, carbon monoxide, methane and carbon dioxide sorption on UTSA-16 framework extrudates in the pressure swing adsorption process was carried out. The pure gas adsorption of these gases at the pressure range (0 to 80) bars at (298, 313, and 338) K have also been measured in a fixed bed. Langmuir, Toth, Sips, UNILAN, Virial and Dubinin-Astakhov adsorpti...
